Job Title: Piano Technician
Reports to: Instrument Services Coordinator
Position Purpose: To provide tuning and repair services for pianos campus-wide in studios, practice rooms and recital halls
Essential Job Functions: Tuning; maintenance repairs
Other Job Duties: Regulation and voicing as needed; wrapping new pianos with protective coverings; keeping accurate repair logs
Equipment Used: Hand and shop tools typical of this trade (must have prior training in this field)
Qualifications: Must be courteous and friendly when working with students, faculty and technicians; must be able to work independently with minimal direction and adapt to a flexible work schedule; must be a graduate of a certified training program or have a comparable combination of formal apprenticeship and work experience; must provide own hand tools
Compensation: Compensation based on experience ($2000-3600); on-campus housing and meals included
