Job Title: Master Electrician-Theatre
Reports to: Technical Theater Manager
Position Purpose: Oversee lighting and design functions for various student theatrical productions.
Essential Job Functions: This position serves as the Master Electrician for student productions in the Harvey Theater; serves as Assistant Lighting Designer for the High School Musical Theater production; and oversees the setup and strike of the lighting system in Penn Hall. This individual also directs the restoration of repertory light plots in Phoenix and Harvey theatres and supervises an electrician.
Other Job Duties: There may be occasional need to assist with dance and guest artist productions.
Equipment Used: All professional theatrical lighting instruments and consoles.
Qualifications: Significant relevant experience is necessary. Graduate and upper class college students preferred. Valid driver’s license is a must. Position requires someone who is self-motivated and able to work well in a collaborative environment. Applicants should have a working knowledge of and experience in stage lighting practices and supervision.
Compensation: $1,150 plus room and board
