Job Title: Junior Assistant-Theatre
Reports to: Junior Theater Director
Position Purpose: This position will assist the Junior Theater Director in all areas of theater operations.
Essential Job Functions: This position will create scenery, props, and costumes for Junior theatre productions. This position will help manage and direct the activities of the students throughout the rehearsal process.
Other Job Duties: There may be occasional need to assist with dance and guest artist productions.
Equipment Used: Occasional use of costume/paint/scene shop tools.
Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age, in good physical condition and able to occasionally lift heavy objects. Students currently studying theatrical production preferred. The ideal candidate will have the desire and ability to work with children in creating theatre. Position requires someone who is motivated and a quick learner with the ability to work occasional long hours and a flexible schedule. Knowledge of and experience in standard stage production practices is necessary.
Compensation: $900 plus room and board
