Job Title: Instrument Services Assistant
Reports to: Instrument Services Coordinator
Position Purpose: To facilitate rental/loan of wind/string instruments and lockers for campers
Essential Job Functions: Manage instrument inventory, including check-out/check-in/retrieval of ICA-owned instruments; distribute lockers to high school campers;
Other Job Duties: Assist Instrument Services Coordinator and repair technicians as needed; keep records of repairs, rentals, lockers and revenue; answer questions from parents about rental and payment procedures; take proactive steps in resolving instrument issues when they arise
Equipment Used: Computer, golf cart
Qualifications: Must be courteous and friendly when working with students, faculty and technicians; must be familiar with band and string instruments (college music major preferred); must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver license; must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs; must be computer literate; must be able to work independently; must be able to balance executing camper instrument needs with keeping organized records of repairs, rental instruments and lockers; must have a flexible schedule that will allow for camper needs to be met during hours not typically thought of as “work hours” (such as picking up instruments after Sunday evening concerts, etc.); special consideration given to those who have either been a camper or have been employed at Camp in the past
Compensation: $1200 including room and board
