Job Title: Information Technology Intern

Reports to: Executive Director of Information Technology

Position Purpose:   The technology intern plays a critical liaison role between the department and its customers for day-to-day technology support. The intern will support the Summer Arts Camp (summer, full-time).

Essential Job Functions: Installing, deploying, and maintaining desktop and voice equipment. Logistical and tactical support for media and audio-visual equipment.   Administering the departmental work order system as directed.  General help desk support, both over the phone and in person, as directed.

Other Job Duties: Office duties as assigned, user training and other technical support as assigned.

Equipment Used:  Typical office environment technology: Desktops, laptops, netbooks, audio-visual equipment, etc.

Qualifications:  This is an entry-level position and on-the-job training and direction will be provided. However, candidates with the following skills or experience are preferred: Microsoft and Apple operating systems, Cisco networking, PBX and voice mail systems, cabling, Microsoft Server and Active Directory, Microsoft and network security, hardware and software repair and maintenance, user training, good verbal and written communication, customer service orientation, clerical accuracy, and interest in learning new skills.

Compensation:  Hourly rate that varies based upon skills and qualifications.
