Job Title:   Food Service Attendant

Reports to:  Food Service Management Team

Position Purpose:  The purpose of this position is to assist the Food Service Management Team in providing meals to campers, visitors and employees in a friendly customer service manner while ensuring all safety and sanitary regulations are followed.

 Essential Job Functions:  The essential function of the Food Service Attendant is to attend to the Dish Room and/or Line Server duties and maintain quality safety and sanitation standards in all areas.  Dish Room: Washing and storing all food service dishes, trays, utensils, flatware, cups and small equipment.  Follow through with special requests or assignments from the management team.    Line Server:  Sets up serving lines, counters, salad bars, beverages and hot wells for all meals.  Keeps the dining area neat, clean and orderly at all times throughout and in between the meal periods. 

Other Job Duties: Adherence to all ICA employment guidelines and completion of any other duties or tasks as assigned by a member of the Food Service Management Team

Equipment Used: Serving utensils and dishwasher

Qualifications:  Applicant must be at least 14 years of age at time of application.  Applicant must understand basic safety and sanitation regulations, be able to understand and exert well paced mobility for up to five hours in length and have the ability to bend and lift up to 30 pounds frequently.  In addition, the applicant must have hand and finger dexterity to handle serving equipment, be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other employees and be able to follow written instructions.

Compensation: $900 including room and board.  (If applying and you are under the age of 18, you must reside off-campus, complete a work permit with hours of deviation and then the compensation is at minimum wage).
