Job Title: Collaborative Pianist (Application deadline is February 1st).
Reports to: Coordinator of Collaborative Pianists
Position Purpose: Rehearse and perform as needed with junior through high school campers.
Essential Job Functions: Up to 25 hours of contact with campers will be assigned per week; collaborative pianists will be assigned to specialized areas/departments including vocal studio accompanying, instrumental accompanying, choral accompanying, dance accompanying and musical theater for the summer.
Other Job Duties: Optional opportunities for extracurricular performance opportunities with guest artists and staff available.
Equipment Used: Pianos (provided and maintained by Interlochen)
Qualifications: Pianistic fluency and some collaborative experience. Applicants should be able to learn new music quickly, as well as demonstrate good sight reading and leadership skills.
Compensation: Salary $1200-$1500 commensurate with collegiate degree completed.
Also required for application is a resume, list of vocal and instrumental repertoire and a sound recording of two contrasting works. Tapes/CD’s will not be returned.
