Job Title: Carpenter-Theatre
Reports to: Technical Theater Manager
Position Purpose: This position will build, finish, install, and strike scenery for all student theatrical productions.
Essential Job Functions: Scenery is built and finished in the scene shop and loaded in to and completed in different venues. Provide facility support for Intermediate theatrical shows in Phoenix Theatre, and Junior theatrical shows in Penn Hall.
Other Job Duties: There may be occasional need to assist with dance and guest artist productions.
Equipment Used: All professional scene shop tools. Capable use of hand, power, and pneumatic tools is required.
Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age, in good physical condition and able to lift heavy objects. Students currently studying theatrical production preferred. Position requires someone who is motivated and a quick learner with the ability to work occasional long hours and a flexible schedule. Knowledge of and experience in standard stage production practices is necessary.
Compensation: $900 plus room and board
