Job Title: Academic Library Intern

Reports to: Director of Libraries

Position Purpose:   This is a great internship opportunity for someone interested in librarianship as a career!  This position serves the needs of the IAC, helping to provide campers, faculty and staff with resources to support their arts specialty and personal interests while on campus.  

Essential Job Functions: Interns in this position would gain valuable reference experience assisting library patrons with finding information utilizing a variety of databases and the catalog. Other duties would include circulation, shelving and assistance with summer projects ranging from collections management to work on the library website.   

Other Job Duties: This person may be responsible for book processing and other various library tasks/projects that may arise.

Equipment Used:  Integrated Library System – Unicorn, library databases, copy machine and computers.

Qualifications:  Bachelor's Degree preferred.  Excellent customer service skills, technically savvy, enthusiastic, attention to detail and willingness to participate in a team environment required.

Compensation: $800 includes room and board.
