Director: John Wunsch B.M., North Carolina School of the Arts. Former Music Theory Instructor North Carolina School of the Arts, Guitar Instructor, Oakland University; and Director of Guitar Studies, Northwestern Michigan College. Studied with Jesus Silva, Nicholas Goluses, Fred Hand, Oswald Rantucci, and in master classes with Maestro Andres Segovia, Janos Starker, and David Russell.
John has released 7 recordings and toured extensively, appearing in Europe and Japan, as well as the United States. He has appeared in such venues as the Newport Jazz festival, the New York Segrams Festival, The Philadelphia Seaport Festival, Blues Alley, and the Blue Note. He has been nominated 3 times for the “Best Instrumental” category of the New York Music Awards and received numerous grants from Meet the Composer, New York State Council for the Arts, Arts Serve, and The Michigan Council For Arts and Cultural Affairs among others.
Faculty: Alex deGrassi, William Kanengiser, Bruce Dunlap, John Wunsch, Emre Yilmaz, Brad DeRoche, and Gohar Vardanyan will be the featured performers and masterclass faculty at this festival. John Stropes will be presenting a retrospective on Interlochen alumnus Michael Hedges and a presentation on the style and techniques of Leo Kottke.

Tuition: Full institute (three-days) $250 or single days $89 each. Tuition includes all concerts for the days registered.
Registration deadline: August 10, 2006
Cancellation/Refund Policy: No tuition refunds will be given after August 10 unless another participant is available to take the opening. All refunds will be less 7.5% for processing. If an under-subscribed event is canceled, all refunds are 100%.
Housing and Meals: Lodging is available on the Interlochen campus on a first-come, first-served basis. Accommodations range from residence hall rooms to housekeeping cottages at a variety of rates.
