Academic Classes
Most academic classes at Interlochen take place in three "rotundas" (Language Arts, Liberal Arts and Math & Science) which are connected by a concourse. Each rotunda has a distinctive white dome roof, with classrooms around the perimeter and a community study area at the center. During the summer Arts Camp session, the rotundas serve as spaces for sectionals and small group rehearsals.
Bonisteel Library
Built in 2005, the new Roscoe O. Bonisteel Library houses Interlochen's academic and music libraries. With over 17,000 scores, 57,000 performing sets, and over 10,000 CDs and LPs, the Frederick & Elizabeth Ludwig Fennell Music Library is one of the largest collections of performance materials in the United States. The John W. & Charlene B. Seabury Academic Library offers a growing collection of 27,000 books and enhanced data services, including building-wide WiFi, multimedia presentation rooms and closed-circuit television. Camp Cabins
Students attending Interlochen Arts Camp summer programs live in groups of 10-18 in lakeside cabins that are rustic but comfortable. Tennis, basketball and volleyball courts are nearby. View pictures >>
Corson Auditorium
Designed by Alden Dow and dedicated in 1975, Corson seats 952. It is a beautiful, comfortable auditorium with excellent acoustics. It hosts Camp and Academy music, dance and theatre performances, as well as dozens of acclaimed guest artists every year. View pictures >>
Dendrinos Chapel & Recital Hall
The Dendrinos Chapel & Recital Hall was built in 1981 and seats 200. More intimate performances, such as student, faculty and guest artists recitals take place here. It is also home to Interlochen's 50-rank Aeolian-Skinner pipe organ, which was restored and rededicated in 2006. View pictures >>
DeRoy Center for Film Studies
The DeRoy Center for Film Studies it the first and only building in the nation dedicated to the study of motion picture arts at the high school level. The 26,000 square foot state-of-the-art building includes a film studio, editing and production suites, a sound stage and a screening room. View pictures >>
Dow Center for Visual Arts
Opened for classes in Fall 2008, the new Herbert H. & Barbara C. Dow Center for Visual Arts is one of the finest facilities for high school visual artists in the country. View pictures >>
Frohlich Piano and Percussion Building
New in 1998, the climate-controlled Piano and Percussion Building has teaching space, practice rooms and a piano technician's studio.
Harvey Theatre
Harvey Theatre is one of Interlochen's newest buildings. It is a state-of-the-art theatre and rehearsal space and hosts to Academy and summer Arts Camp performances. The Harvey building is also home to the new Mallory Costume Shop which stores over 15,000 costume pieces and includes a large work area. View pictures >>
Hildegarde Lewis Dance Building
The Hildegarde Lewis Dance Building is a beautiful and unique place to study dance. Situated on the shore of lovely Green Lake, with a barre flanked by large picture windows, this building also features several studio and dressing areas.
Interlochen Bowl
Built in 1928, the historic Interlochen Bowl serves as a rehearsal and performance venue during the summer months. Most notably, the Bowl hosts the beautiful and moving Les Preludes, which is the traditional concluding performance of each Interlochen Arts Camp summer session. View pictures >>
Kresge Auditorium
With seating for nearly 4,000, Kresge Auditorium hosts dozens of Arts Camp and guest artist performances during the summer months. It is an open-sided ampitheater situated on the shore of Green Lake. View pictures >>
Residence Halls
Boarding students at Interlochen Arts Academy live in six centrally-located residence halls. Rooms are small but comfortable, and the residence halls offer common areas and 24-hour security staff.
Stone Cafeteria
On the shore of Green Lake, Stone Cafeteria offers good food and excellent views of the water. Students eat around comfortable round tables, and vegetarian options are available daily. View pictures >>

Remodeled in 2008, Stone Hotel offers comfortable, convenient accomodations, located lakeside in the heart of Interlochen's scenic campus.
The Writing House
The Writing House is uniquely designed for the study and practice of writing. Classrooms are sunny and comfortable, and there's a large common areas in the center of the building which hosts various readings and events. View pictures >>
