The Emerson Scholars Program offers talented high school musicians the opportunity to earn up to a full-tuition scholarship toward intensive study at Interlochen Arts Camp. Awards are based on the strength of a student's experience and audition.
Musicians who excel in the following instruments are eligible for Emerson Auditions: orchestral strings, harp, woodwinds, brass and percussion.
The Emerson Scholarship is named in recognition of Emerson's many years of support for Interlochen. While program funding for our Emerson Scholars component has changed, we are still offering up to full-tuition opportunities for high school musicians who seek to attend Interlochen Arts Camp in 2015.
The Emerson Scholarship is available to:
- Applicants currently eligible for the high school division
- Applicants auditioning for six week Orchestral and Wind Ensemble Program or Harp Program.
- Residents of the United States
How to Apply
All applicants who meet the eligibility requirements listed above are automatically considered for an Emerson Scholarship. There is no separate application/audition process for the scholarship. Simply follow the audition instructions for the Orchestral and Wind Ensemble or Harp program. Please note that applicants must either submit a video audition online or attend a live, regional audition by February 1, 2015.
Scholarship recipients will be notified by April 1, 2015. All other candidates will not be notified.
Camp applicants not selected to receive an Emerson Scholarship may still be considered for financial aid by completing the financial aid information portion of the application for admission.
