Dance Major: Audition Requirements

It is preferred that applicants audition in person. Please read below to arrange an on-campus audition or view the audition tour schedule.

How to Submit your Materials:
It is highly recommended that students audition in person at one of our Audition Tour locations or arrange a live audition during a pre-arranged campus visit.

If a live audition is not possible, applicants are required to submit their audition materials digitally. After you start the application for admission, create an account on DecisionDesk and upload the requirements under your Interlochen Application ID number as a "Dance Program" candidate.

Campus Visit:
We highly encourage all applicants to plan a campus visit! The schedule may include audition/class participation led by our Director of Dance and/or Interlochen Dance Faculty, a full tour of campus including the Hildegarde Lewis Dance Building and residence halls, an opportunity to meet and interact with current students, and a chance to observe academic classes in session.
