Current Interlochen students, faculty and staff saw a familiar face on the cover of the March 2013 issue of Flute Talk Magazine as Nancy Stagnitta and the flute program at the Arts Academy were prominently featured in the leading flute publication.
The seven-page story explored flute technique, teaching philosophy and careers in music, as well as Stagnitta's own personal musical background. The magazine also featured the annual flute institute led by Stagnitta and featuring Paula Robison and Judith Mendenhall.
The story also highlighted the success of Interlochen flute students. Recent graduates from Stagnitta's studio have gone on to attend The Juilliard School, Curtis Institute, Eastman School of Music, Oberlin Conservatory, New England Conservatory, and many other respected conservatories and universities worldwide.
Ms. Stagnitta earned the degrees of Bachelor and Master of Music from the Peabody Institute, where she received the Ashworth Prize. Her teachers include Robert Willoughby and Timothy Day.
