Paul Mow (AS 90) won the 2002 George London Award for the Kirstin Flagstad Memorial Prize as well as the Eastern Regional of the Metropolitan Opera Competition in New York City. Paul’s debut album "Brahms’ Die Schone Magelone" was recorded in New York City’s historic Town Hall with his coach and pianist Eric Malson, and was released in April 2007 on Lyrichord Records.
Maria Sampen (IAC 90-93) is associate professor of violin and chair of the string department at the University of Puget Sound. In her six years at the University of Puget Sound she has twice received the university's Thomas A. Davis Teaching Award for excellence in teaching.
Sarah Bloom (IAA 90-91) earned a Ph.D. in psychology (behavior analysis) from the University of Florida and joined the faculty as an assistant professor at Utah State University. She conducts research on the assessment and treatment of severe problem behavior.
Nathan Clair (IAA 90-91) received his master’s degree in theological studies at Vanderbilt University Divinity School and was published in the winter 2009 issue of “Weavings” a journal of spiritual theology. Nathan makes a home with his wife and two daughters. He recently became writer-in-residence and community curate for theology, art and spirituality for an Ann Arbor, Mich. faith community.
Heidi Schmidt (IAA 91-93) is a jazz musician in Eastern Europe. She has recorded two studio albums and is an active performer with the Trading Fours Jazz Ensemble. Most recently, Heidi performed with the Aurora Symphony Orchestra. She is an active performer in the Denver, Colo. area and is currently pursuing a jazz studies degree at Denver University.
Sean "Sparky" Thomas (IAC 91, IAA 91-92, IAC St 92-95, 98-02, IAA St 98-99, 01-03) is an anchor/reporter for the globally-broadcast international news network "Russia Today," based in Moscow.
Barrett Foa (IAC 92-95) is a series regular on the TV show, “NCIS: Los Angeles” Barrett plays tech operator Eric Beale alongside Chris O'Donnell, LL Cool J, and Academy Award-winner Linda Hunt (IAA 62-64). George Stamatakis (IAC 92) and brother Nikiforos created OctoPod, an audio recording application for the Apple iPhone and the iPod touch.
Caroline Stinson (IAC 92, IAA 92-93) has joined the Lark Quartet and Chamber Artists in concerts and is teaching from New York to California. Highlights include the world premiere of a newly-commissioned piano quintet for the Lark and Jeremy Denk by Pulitzer Prize-winner Paul Moravec at Merkin Hall in New York City and a new song cycle by William Bolcom at Stanford University.
Benjamin Cherry (IAA 92-93) is a 2009 Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs' (MAC) Award winner, in the category of “Best Debut, Male” for: "I Hate New York...a Love Story." Ben performed as Archibald Craven in “The Secret Garden” and the Dauphin in “Henry V” at the 2009 Utah Shakespearean Festival in Cedar City, Utah.

Kiju Joh (IAC 93-95) is a member of the second violin section of the Houston Symphony.
Amir Levi (IAC 93-95) wrote and performed “Te Busco” at New York’s Bleeker Street Theatre in January 2010. Amir has also been the narrator in a concert version of Mozart’s “The Abduction from the Seraglio” with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra conducted by Yoel Levi and the Ann Arbor Symphony with Arie Lipsky. He has also narrated “Peter and the Wolf,” and the premiere of Joshua Penman’s “Raccoon Tune” with the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra. A dancer and choreographer, Amir is the Artistic Director for The Poisonous Ladies: Amir Levi Dance.
Melissa L. White (IAC 93-94, IAA 00-02) is a member of the Harlem Quartet and performed for Barack Obama at the White House in December 2009.

Katarzyna Sokol (IAC 94, IAA 94-96, IAC St 96) holds degrees from both Northwestern University and Indiana University. She is on the faculty at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colo. where she teaches the symphony and upper strings. Kasia is also the director of the Durango Youth Symphony, concertmaster for the San Juan Symphony in Durango, Colo. and the artistic director of the Durango Chamber Music Festival.
Amy Mulzer (IAA 94-97, IAC St 97-98) and her partner, Chris Van Dyke, welcomed their son, Nat Mulzer Suarez, into their lives on February 9, 2009. Nat enjoys smiling, putting things in his mouth, and trying to scale every piece of furniture in the apartment. Amy is a staff attorney at the Brooklyn Family Defense Project, where she represents low-income parents in family court.
Alayna Stroud (IAA 94-95) co-founded and is co-artistic director of the San Francisco based Bow and Sparrow, a dance ensemble that uses various aerial apparatus and blends contemporary dance movement with circus-influenced aerial technique. Bow and Sparrow performed at the Inside Out Gallery in Traverse City, Mich. in November 2009.

Ian Whitney (IAA 96-98) was elected Democratic State Committeeman and will represent the Florida Keys in the Florida Democratic Party State Executive Committee through 2013. He is President of the Key West Innkeepers Association, serves on the Visit Florida Public Relations Committee, and served as vice president of the Key West Business Guild.
Ann Marie (Simpson) Calhoun (IAC 97) performs on violin with Steve Vai on the Grammy-nominated best rock group performance of "Now we Run." Ann Marie co-wrote the theme song for the charity, "Stand Up to Cancer" with Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics. The theme was performed with Hans Zimmer and the Sony Orchestra aired in a master card commercial during the third game of the World Series. She orchestrated and conducted a performance for Joss Stone’s "Live or Die" song for a new James Bond video game. She also co-wrote and performed the theme for the charity "Oceana" with Dave Stewart is scoring a melody to accompany the Ted Conference "Charter for Compassion" project. Ann Marie is currently rehearsing for promotional tours with Ringo Starr.

Nicholas DiEugenio (IAC 97) has performed at Town Hall in Seattle and Merkin Hall in New York, as well as concerts at the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. In 2008, Mr. Nicholas performed Ezra Laderman’s “Violin Duets” in Weill Recital Hall along with violinist Katie Hyun. He was a founding member of the Biava Quartet, and has also been the first violinist of the iO Quartet in New York and a member of the Lorien Trio in New Haven, Conn. In February 2010, DiEugenio will perform the Schumann “Violin Sonatas” at Cornell University with Fortepianist Chi-Chen Wu, and will also present works of Cage with pianist Augustus Arnone in May at the Player's Theater in New York. Mr. DiEugenio holds degrees from the Cleveland Institute of Music and the Yale School of Music, and is currently assistant professor of violin and chamber music at the Ithaca College School of Music.

Benjamin Simon (IAC 97 IAA 97-99) is a woodworker and builds custom guitars and other instruments in Brooklyn, N.Y. He works with high school dropouts, teaching the students to use the specialized tools and complete an instrument building project.
Elizabeth (Ball) Crawford (IAA 97-98, IAC St 99) is married to K. Morgan Crawford (AS 93-95, IAC 96,98, IAA 96-98, IAC St 01) and lives in Salt Lake City, Utah. Elizabeth is working on her masters in performance at the University of Utah. Morgan is working as a mechanic at Pep Boys and enjoys attending, and critiquing, all of Elizabeth’s concerts. They have a seven year-old son, Morgan, who is magical and fills their home with laughter.
Stoll Vaughn (IAA 97-98) performed in Elk Rapids, Mich. at the Seed Studio Gallery and in Traverse City, Mich. at Sleder's Family Tavern in November 2009. Stoll is an active singer-songwriter based in Hollywood and has recently written songs for “Friday Night Lights” and composes the music for David Lynch production's ongoing "Interview Project." He has appeared with John Fogerty, John Mellancamp and Def Leppard among others performing at many prime venues including the Hollywood Bowl.
Sara Emerson (IAC 98-99, IAA 99-01) performed as Amahl's mother, in the Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra production of “Amahl and the Night Vistors” in December 2009. Fred Wagner (IAC St 75) performed as King Balthazar and Samuel D. Johnson (IAC 08) performed as Amahl. Paul Mow (AS 90) directed, produced and performed the role of King Kaspar in this production.
Andrea Mayfield (IAC 98-99, IAC St 02) is in her second season as a professional horn performer with the Orquesta Sinfonica Sinaloa de las Artes in Culiacan, Mexico. She received her master’s degree from Cincinnati Conservatory of Music in 2007.

Franklin Shaw (IAA 98-00, IAC St 99) is co-founder, president and violist of A Far Cry, a self-conducted chamber orchestra based in Jamaica Plain, Mass. Now in its third season, A Far Cry is orchestra-in-residence at the New England Conservatory and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston. Co-founding violist Margaret Dyer (IAA 99-01) and violinist Miki Sophia Cloud (IAC 95-96) are members, often referred to as "Criers."

Michael Arden (Moore) (IAA 99 - 01, IAC 99, IAC St 01) will sing in the Roundabout Broadway premiere of "Sondheim on Sondheim" in Studio 54 in the Spring of 2010. Michael will also perform at Stephen Sondheim's 80th birthday celebration at the Roundabout theatre's “Spring 2010 Gala: Sondheim 80.”
Sebastian Chaves (IAC 99) is a member of The Stratus Ensemble. He is also is a substitute player with the Boston Philharmonic, Opera Boston, the Boston Ballet and Boston Modern Orchestra Project. Sebastian is the principal bassoon of the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra, the Indian Hill Orchestra, the Atlantic Symphony Orchestra, the Plymouth Philharmonic and the Neponset Valley Philharmonic. Sebastian lives in Brighton, Mass. with his wife.
Luke Fleming (IAC 99-00) gave his New York debut to a sold out audience at Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center in April 2009. Mr. Fleming joined the Attacca Quartet in October 2009. Mr. Fleming has been awarded fellowships to attend the Marlboro Music School and Festival for the summers of 2009 and 2010. Previously, he was a fellow at the Steans Institute of the Ravinia Music Festival. A New Orleans native, Luke is a C.V. Starr Doctoral Fellow at The Juilliard School and has worked as a teaching artist and music educator in New York City and New Orleans public schools.
