1980s Motifs

Carol Kycia (IAC 80-82, IAA 81-82, UW 83) earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Northeastern University in May 2009. She also holds a Doctor of Musical Arts. She is balancing her two careers as freelance musician and professional pharmacist.

William Kasper (IAA 81-83) and wife Teresa Kasper celebrated the birth of their daughter, Abigail Rose, on December 23, 2009 at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C.

Dana Reason (IAA 84-85) teaches music in the movies and world music at Oregon State University. She performs with her trio The Dana Reason Trio. Their CD "Revealed" was released in the Spring of 2009 by Circumvention Music.

Sarah Hicks (IAC 85-87) is the associate conductor of the North Carolina Symphony.

Heather Shadron (IAA 85-87) is still making pottery after all these years. (Thanks Jean Parsons!) She is looking forward to moving back to St. Simons Island in the summer of 2010 with her daughter Belle, who is 6.

Kaari Keivit Sherman (IAA 86-87, IAC St 90, IAO Board 06-present) is a senior consultant for Tastefully Simple.

Daniel Jordan (IAA 87-91, IAC St 91-92) has been the concertmaster of the Sarasota Orchestra since 1998 and performed the Bruch "Scottish Fantasy" as soloist in January 2010. He spends summers in Santa Fe, N.M., as the Assistant Principal 2nd violinist of the Santa Fe Opera.
 
Adam Scheer (IAC 88-89) is the marketing director for Authentication Solutions at JDSU and was recently named chairman of the International Holographic Manufacturers Association board.

Lito Velasco (IAA 88-92, IAC St 91) is the assistant production manager on "Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy," the definitive documentary on the original "Nightmare on Elm Street" saga. The executive producer is Heather Langenkamp and the director is Daniel Farrands.

Derek Frank (IAC 89-90, IAA 90-91) has recently released his debut solo album, "Let the Games Begin." The mostly-instrumental funk album features some of top musicians from the Los Angeles area, and is available through iTunes, CD Baby, and on his Derek’s website.
