1940s

Arthur Olsen (IAC 47-48) is a retired optical engineer and currently serves as a pianist with the Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra in Boulder, Colo.

1950s

James L. Austin (AS 52, IAC 53-55, IAC St 60, 62) is a professor of trumpet at the University of Houston in Houston, Texas. He performs with the UH Faculty Symphonic Brass Quintet, which he founded in 1960. James has been a member of the UH School of Music advisory, curriculum, and scholarship committees, as well as numerous other university, college, and school search committees. James is also minister of music at the Church of the Advent in Stafford, Texas.

R. Philip Jameson (IAC 55-57, IAC Fac 86-04) retired as a distinguished professor of music at the University of Georgia, where he began teaching in 1967.

John Moses (IAC 56, 58-61, IAC St 62) is a freelance and recording clarinetist in New York City. He has performed with virtually every musical group in the area; he is first clarinetist with the American Composers Orchestra, the New York Pops and the Westchester Philharmonic.

A. Keith Amstutz (IAC 57-58) is professor emeritus of trumpet at the University of South Carolina in Columbia. He served as coordinator of applied winds and percussion and was an active member of the U.S.C. faculty brass quintet. He holds the patent on BRACEGUARD, an orthodontic shield for instrumentalists.

William Conable (IAC 57-60, UM 61) is professor emeritus of cello at Ohio State University in Columbus. He specializes in both baroque and contemporary music and is a member of the Cipriani Trio. He is also a world-renowned teacher of the Alexander Technique. William teaches and performs regularly in Europe, Asia and South America.
