IPR Named Public Radio Station of the Year - AGAIN
For the third year in a row, Interlochen Public Radio has been named "Public Radio Station of the Year" by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters. The award recognizes IPR for excellence in broadcasting among public radio stations with budgets under $2 million.
ICCA Launches New String Chamber Orchestra Program
This summer, the College of Creative Arts is rolling out a new opportunity for string musicians who are eager to bring music back into their lives. The String Chamber Orchestra Weekend, a three-day experience for adult musicians, will be led by David Holland, instructor of viola and coordinator of the chamber music program at Interlochen Arts Academy.
Spring Tour Includes Stop at Merit School of Music
This March, a small group of Academy students traveled to Chicago and Grand Rapids for performances. In addition to two public concerts, the students also visited the Merit School of Music to perform for and collaborate with Merit Musicians.
Academy dance department guest artist, Jason Winters
For two weeks during the month of December, the Academy dance department worked with contemporary choreographer and dancer, Jason Winters. During his residency Jason worked with Academy dance students teaching contemporary movement and technique.
