Once accepted to the Academy, students should be aware of the following:
- Interlochen needs one official final transcript (school record) that is translated into English. We need this before you arrive on our campus.
- If you have previously taken a TOEFL test, you must include a copy of your score report with your transcript.
- Enrollment in classes will not occur until we have received a translated official transcript.
- For our College Application Process during your senior year of school we also will require six additional official transcripts, which will be used to send with your college applications.

Arrival Dates:
IF:
- Your first language is not English; and
- You have not lived in and attended schools in the U.S.; and
- You have not studied English for five consecutive years.
You must arrive at Interlochen on Tuesday Sept. 2, 2006 after 8:00 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time). An Orientation program will begin on Sept. 3, 2008. You will also be given an English placement test at that time. The results will determine your placement in either our ESL program or regular classes. You will then receive a class schedule based on that placement.
Please note: International Students who non or limited English speaking should not complete their schedules on-line prior to their arrival on campus. Schedules are determined after diagnostic testing by ESL instructors and are completed prior to the beginning of classes.
