Interlochen Alumnus Receives Emmy

Interlochen alumnus Lance Horne received an Emmy award at the 35th annual Creative Arts and Entertainment Emmy Awards Ceremony, held June 14 in New York City.

His composition, “Chemistry,” won the Emmy for “outstanding original song.” The piece was featured on “One Life to Live: Prom Night, The Musical” last June on ABC.

Horne studied composition at Interlochen Arts Academy from 1994 through 1996 and theater arts at Interlochen Arts Camp in 1994 and 1995. He wrote “Chemistry” in honor of Jack Randall, his chemistry teacher at the Academy.
