Deep Revision Retreat

Adult Arts Program

Join Anne-Marie Oomen for a week-long writing retreat focused on deep revision. This is a fully-immersive, facilitated writing residency that blends traditional instruction with self-guided writing time, with the end goal of revising a large portion of a full or partial manuscript.

Re-Vision Workshop for Poets

In this hands-on workshop we'll address the challenge of deep revision, by looking closely at our work in progress, asking good questions of it, iterating new versions, and experimenting with new ways of seeing the potential in our unfinished drafts.

Join us in 2018 to celebrate the 13th year of Interlochen’s Writers Retreat and spend four days writing new material in the course of your choice, attending presentations by award-winning faculty, and enjoying lakeside lunches and evening readings while making connections in the literary world.

Activities taught in this workshop will help you learn how visual note-taking, writing, and expressive mark-making can help you record memories, observations, imaginings, stories, and visual narratives.
