The Interlochen Guitar Festival Workshop is held on the beautiful campus of the world renowned Interlochen Center for the Arts in northern Michigan. The 2008 Interlochen Guitar Festival Workshop schedule offers a variety of concurrent sessions covering a broad spectrum of diverse musical styles and topics with instruction taught by guitar masters.   Our faculty and guest artist lineup will provide an adult guitar education and entertainment event unlike any other.

Do not miss this exciting opportunity to learn and grow as a guitarist under the high quality standards which have made Interlochen Center for the Arts famous throughout the world of music. Interlochen Guitar Festival Workshop sessions cover many playing styles and topics of interest for all levels of guitarists including classical, jazz, flamenco, rock, blues, song writing, world music, technique, Tai Chi, music business, recording, applied technology, reading skills, instrument construction and maintenance. On your free time, stop in and visit with guitar vendors with music, instruction materials, instruments and gear on display and available for purchase. Each day will conclude with an evening concert featuring guest artists and faculty.  Participant evening concert tickets are included with paid daily registration fees.  Please contact Interlochen's Box Office to purchase additional guest concert tickets.

We welcome all levels of ability and non playing aficionados to enjoy this experience.  We have added opportunities for participants to jam and practice, as well as offering recommended schedule session guides for beginning, intermediate or advanced levels of ability.  Non-playing aficionados may audit all sessions, standard registration fees will apply.  A limited number of rental guitars are available, click here to request rental information.
