Flights of Counterpoint Fancy
Our favorite chamber music works give each of us a special melodic role to play. How can we increase our awareness of the different textures created by our musical lines moving as one, moving with resistance against each other or breaking free in melodic flight? What makes our musical conversation contrapuntal? Join us this summer as we highlight the counterpoint that is at the heart of our great repertoire. Learn to hear and play your part in relation to the beautiful instrumental voices around you as never before!
For nearly six decades, adult musicians have come to Interlochen to perform great works of chamber music. This summer at the 58th Annual Interlochen Adult Chamber Music Camp, chamber music devotees from around the country and world will once again immerse themselves in six days of instruction and performaces by a faculty of leading musicians. Participant Chamber Concert Series tickets are included with paid registration. All Adult Chamber Music Camp participants will gather for a closing dinner on Monday, August 18, preceding the final Chamber Concert Series concert. The participant fee for the closing dinner is included with paid registration. You may register accompanying guests or spouses to join in this catered event at $20 per person.
Interlochen Adult Chamber Music Camp participants will work alonside notable string, keyboard and wind faculty who will present master classes, lectures and chamber music recitals during the Chamber Concert Series. The dynamic Ensō String Quartet will return as the 2008 Adult Chamber Music Camp artists-in-residence. A variety of class options will provide each participant with an enriching experience.

Interlochen College of Creative Arts and the Adult Chamber Music Camp faculty invite you to join us for the 2008 Chamber Concert Series from Wednesday, August 13, 2008, through Monday, August 18, 2008, featuring daily chamber performances with Ensō String Quartet and notable Adult Chamber Music Camp faculty. Adult Chamber Music Camp Faculty concerts are free and open to the public with Ensō String Quartet concert tickets available for purchase online at Interlochen's Box Office for $25 per ticket per concert. Participant Chamber Concert Series tickets are included with paid registration and available to the public for purchase.
