Emergency Band Instrument Repair Workshop: July 15-16 ::
The Interlochen Emergency Band Instrument Repair Workshop will help band directors stretch their budget, avoid inconvenient down time and make last minute repairs when a performace is on the line.
The two-day workshop will take place in the Interlochen instrument repair shop and will include lectures and hands-on instruction on how to make common repairs to woodwind and brass band instruments.
Workshop participants are encouraged to bring an instrument from their school or studio on which to work. In the evening, participants are invited to take a tour of the historic Carl D. Greenleaf Collection of antique and ethnographic musical instruments with curator, John Beery.
