Video: World Youth Symphony Orchestra Through the Eyes of a Student

As a 5-year-old, Angelique saw a live performance of a cello ensemble in Haiti—and she was hooked. She started her musical career soon after on a toy cello her parents made out of cardboard. In the summer of 2012, she played in the World Youth Symphony Orchestra, a collection of musicians from widely different backgrounds who share Angelique's passion for music. Angelique was a 2012 scholarship recipient.
