The Writers Retreat at Interlochen College of Creative Arts has quickly become a favorite destination for writers throughout the Midwest. This year the program will add new faculty including a renowned children's author and poet.
The Writing House is uniquely designed for the study and practice of writing. Classrooms are sunny and comfortable, and there's a large common areas in the center of the building which hosts various readings and events.
Academy Boarding School Major
The creative writing program at Interlochen Arts Academy boarding high school provides guidance, support and numerous opportunities for young writers. Students study and create poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, playwriting and screenwriting with a faculty of writer–educators.
