The visual arts program attracts highly dedicated and talented faculty, staff, and students from around the world to create an environment focused on the exchange of artistic values, ideas, and aesthetics.
Summer 2008 visual arts programs:
- High School Division (grades 9-12)
High School Division Visual Arts majors receive individualized instruction, visual arts courses covering issues of design, and art history. Visual Arts majors gather as a community to discuss aesthetics, presentations, portfolio reviews and more.
- Intermediate Division (grades 6-9)
The Intermediate visual arts program is designed to both challenge experienced students and build foundations and confidence for students who want to try a new medium. All courses stimulate and encourage creativity, and develop skills and an understanding of art foundations.
- Junior Division (grades 3-6)
The Junior Visual Arts Program builds a sense of community, gives a rich visual arts experience, and provides the in-depth arts education that is expected at Interlochen.
PLEASE NOTE: 6th graders may apply for either Junior or Intermediate Division programs. 9th grades may apply for Intermediate or High School Division programs.
