Overview
The Horn Institute is an opportunity for horn players to spend a week of intensive study with a distinguished faculty of performers and teachers.
Details
- Daily master classes focus on practice techniques and routines, instrument history, solo literature, professionalism and ethics of the music business.
- Etude studies include the Kopprasch Etudes, Maxime- Alphonse Etudes, Concone Etudes, etc.
- Private lessons give students personal instruction with the distinguished faculty.
- Rehearsals for small and large ensembles are daily.
- Performances by faculty members and distinguished artists are the highlight of the week.

Audition/Portfolio Requirements
- Record two solo works of contrasting style on a CD or DVD.
- Submit the audition and label the recording and its casing with the applicant's full name, "Institute Division," instrument and repertoire presented.
