The Emerson Scholars Program offers talented high school musicians the opportunity for a full-tuition scholarship towards intensive study at Interlochen Arts Camp. Every year, Emerson scholarships are awarded to 52 students. Awards are based on the strength of a student's experience and audition.
Musicians who excel in the following instruments are eligible for Emerson Auditions: orchestral strings, harp, woodwinds, brass and percussion.
Eligibility
The Emerson Scholarship is available to:
- Applicants currently eligible for the high school division
- Applicants auditioning for Orchestral and Wind Ensemble and Harp programs only
- Applicants who are residents of the United States
- New in 2009: musicians who have previously received the Emerson Scholarship may reapply
