The Visual Arts Program attracts highly dedicated and talented students, faculty and staff from around the world to create an environment focused on ideas, craftsmanship and the exchange of artistic values. Studio classes are designed to challenge students at a variety of skill levels. All courses stimulate and encourage creativity, develop skills and promote an understanding of art fundamentals. To enrich the visual arts experience, it is recommended that students take a variety of two-dimensional and three-dimensional studios to balance their daily schedule.
Intermediate visual arts students can expect:
- A two-period class in their major
- Visual Arts hour includes guest artist presentations, workshops, group activities and studio time
- One elective in a subject that complements the student's program
- Two additional electives
- Additional activities include figure-drawing sessions and faculty presentations.
Students who are attending for two sessions are encouraged to apply for two different programs.
Summer 2009 Intermediate Visual Arts Camp Programs:
Admission is granted on a first-come, first-served basis for all Intermediate Visual Arts programs and full enrollment can be reached before the February 1 priority deadline so early application is encouraged. Applicants will be notified of admission on a rolling basis.
