Overview
The Intermediate Creative Writing Program provides an immersion in the world of poetry and fiction. Students create original works and learn how to give and receive constructive feedback to improve their writing. Students present their work at a reading at the end of the session.
Program Details
- Writing Classes include guided writing assignments, reading assignments, discussion and critique as part of the daily curriculum.
- The Creative Writing Forum allows all Intermediate writers a chance to work on a variety of projects with each of the Creative Writing Department instructors.
- Three additional electives enrich the students' experience.
Optional Playwriting Elective: Creative Writing Majors have the option of taking Playwriting as one of their electives.
Note: To encourage students to focus entirely on writing, they are asked to complete their assignments with pen and paper. Laptops are not permitted for this program.
