Each summer, Interlochen welcomes high school musicians from across Michigan to participate in All-State ensembles. The two-week programs allow high school students to perform with their musical peers from Michigan. While attending regular rehearsals, students study with distinguished faculty from leading college and university music programs in Michigan and beyond.
Camp Life
All-State students live in cabins on the Interlochen campus and are provided three meals a day from campus dining halls, which offer a variety of meal choices. When they are not rehearsing or performing, students have many options for recreation including swimming, boating, tennis, hiking, or attending an art gallery exhibition or performance.
Eligibility
Interlochen All-State programs are open to Michigan residents who will complete grades 8, 9, 10, 11 or 12 during the 2008-09 academic year.
Financial aid is available but limited. Grants are based on the artistic ability of the student and the financial need of the family. Financial aid decisions will be provided with the offer of admission.
Applicants who apply by February 1 will be notified of their status by March 15. Admission decisions will be made on a rolling basis thereafter.
