Doreen Ringer Ross, Senior Vice President Film and Television Music, BMI. Since 1985, Doreen Ringer Ross has been at BMI, an American performing rights organization that represents more than 300,000 songwriters, composers and music publishers in all genres of music.
Doug Stanton (IAA 75-79, IAA Staff (91-93). A full-time writer for national publications since 1990, Doug Stanton has worked for Esquire, Outside, Sports Afield and Men's Journal magazines. His book, In Harm's Way, spent 9 months on the New York Times bestseller list and has gained critical acclaim internationally; it is also currently under development at Warner Brothers, with Akiva Goldsman producing. His new book, The Horse Soldiers, is in development at Sony Pictures, based on a script by William Monahan. A Traverse City resident, Doug returns to Interlochen on numerous occasions, including a semester as Writer-in-Residence in the Creative Writing Department.
