The Creative Writing boarding school program at Interlochen Arts Academy aims to provide the tools, instruction and experience young writers need to fully explore their potential as artists and scholars. Recognizing that most students are only beginning their writing careers at this age, the Academy is strongly committed to providing an environment in which extensive writing and peer and faculty critiquing is part of the routine.
Students majoring in Creative Writing at Interlochen are also challenged by first-rate, college prep academics, including a number of AP classes. It is our goal to graduate well-rounded students who are well prepared for the rigors of study at top colleges and universities - no matter what career path they ultimately choose.
