Spring 2008 Theatre Alumni Panel ::

On March 7 and 8, the Theatre Arts Department will host its Spring Theatre Arts Alumni Panel. Visiting alumni on campus will include:

Alexandra Silber

(Camp 95-99, Academy 99-01, Interlochen Ensemble 01, Camp Staff 02)

A 2001 graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy, Alexandra Silber was also a National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts, Presidential Scholar in the Arts Semi-Finalist. She went on to study at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and was named a Faculty Student of the Year in 2005. Her recent roles include Hodel in the London revival of "Fiddler on the Roof" and Laura in Andrew Lloyd Webber's "The Woman in White," also in London's West End. Alexandra Silber on IMDb.

 

 

Michael Arden

(Camp 99, Academy 99-01, Interlochen Ensemble 01)

Michael Arden (Moore) graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy in 2001 and has enjoyed many roles on stage and screen since. Film and television credits include: "Numb3rs", "Grey's Anatomy" and "The Good Shepherd". Broadway roles include Coyote in "The Times They Are A'Changin" and Tom Sawyer in "Big River". Dane Laffrey

(Academy 99-01, Camp Staff 01)

Dane Laffrey is a Theatre Design and Production alumnus and currently works as a set and costume designer. Credits include:

  • "Medea," The New Theatre, Sydney
  • "The Colour of Panic," Sydney Opera House Studio
  • "Rag and Bone," Rattlestick Playwright's Theatre, New York
  • "A Midsummer Night's Dream," Parade Studio, Sydney

All three will take part in a panel discussion. Topics will include: Work/life in Los Angeles and New York, working/designing abroad, finding the right training or education program (in the US and abroad) and presenting yourself in an audition.
