An audition or portfolio presentation is required for admission to the Academy. We encourage you to audition or present your portfolio in person, if possible. The best opportunity to audition or present your portfolio is during a personal visit to the campus.
During a campus visit you will have an opportunity to tour the Interlochen campus, meet with an Admissions Counselor, observe academic and artistic classes as well as make your presentation to a faculty member in the division of your application. If you are not able to visit the Interlochen campus, a taped audition or a portfolio sent directly to the Admissions Office is acceptable.
