Job Elements: The executive assistant works in conjunction with other office personnel and administrators in the offices of Education Programs and Student Services. This position is responsible for ensuring the full and efficient functioning of these offices as well as the execution of numerous projects.
Responsibilities include word processing, data management, record maintenance and management of special projects and events throughout the year. Daily duties include calendar maintenance, meeting scheduling as well as office and telephone management. This person will assist with and complete various reports, projects and mailings and work in cooperation with personnel from other offices throughout the institution. The work week will potentially fluctuate between a Mon.-Fri. and Tue.-Sat. schedule based on the time of the year.
Qualifications: High level computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet preparation are required. Outstanding organizational skills as well as the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously are also required. Candidates should have demonstrated experience with executive level office management, preferably in an educational setting or offices with high levels of people interaction. Minimum three years preferred. Excellent speaking and writing skills are required. Good interpersonal skills and thorough attention to detail are important. Candidates must be self-motivated and willing to follow through on projects with minimal supervision and be able to see complex problems and create new solutions.
